2. NEW FOR 2026: The Digital Arrival Card (QR Code)
Effective April 15, 2026, having a visa-free passport is no longer the only requirement. All foreign nationals must complete a Digital Arrival Card before clearing immigration, especially when landing at Tan Son Nhat (SGN).
-
What is it? A mandatory electronic declaration that replaces paper forms.

3. Options if You Want to Stay Longer (>45 Days)
If your country is on the exemption list but you plan to explore Vietnam for more than 45 days, you have two main options:
-
90-Day E-Visa: Apply online before your trip. It allows multiple entries and is valid for up to 3 months.

Visa Run: Exit to a neighboring country (like Cambodia or Laos) and re-enter to get a new 45-day exemption stamp. Note: The old “30-day gap” rule has been removed.
