1. Vietnam Visa Services

Egypt is not currently on the visa-free list for Vietnam. Therefore, all Egyptian citizens and residents require a valid visa to enter the country.

A. Vietnam E-visa (Recommended)

As of 2026, the E-visa is the most convenient option for tourism and short-term business.

• Validity: Up to 90 days (Single or Multiple entry).

• Process: 100% online.

• Requirement: Digital photo, passport scan, and payment via the digital gateway.

B. Embassy Visa

For long-term work (LD), investment (DT), or diplomatic purposes.

• Submission: Sunday to Thursday (09:30 AM – 12:00 PM).

• Requirements: Original passport, completed application form, 02 photos (4×6 cm), and an Approval Letter from the Vietnam Immigration Department.

2. Legalization of Documents

To use Egyptian documents (educational certificates, business contracts, or power of attorney) in Vietnam, they must be legalized.

The Process:

1. Local Notary: Have your document notarized by an Egyptian public notary.

2. Egyptian MOFA: Authenticate the document at the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

3. Vietnam Embassy: Bring the authenticated document to the Embassy for the final consular seal.

3. Services for Vietnamese Citizens

The Embassy provides a range of administrative supports for the Vietnamese community in Egypt:

• Passport Renewal: For citizens with expired or lost passports. (Emergency passports can be issued within 24 hours).

• Citizen Registration: Vietnamese nationals living in Egypt are encouraged to register their contact details for emergency protection.

• Birth/Marriage Registration: Registration of vital records for Vietnamese citizens born or married in Egypt.

4. MANDATORY 2026 UPDATE: Digital Arrival QR Code

Effective April 2026, all travelers arriving in Vietnam from Egypt must complete a Pre-arrival Declaration.

1. Access prearrival.immigration.gov.vn within 72 hours before departure.

2. Upload your visa and flight details.

3. Receive a Personal Entry QR Code.

4. Show this code at the immigration counter in Vietnam to utilize the Fast-Track Lane.
